Here are links to some of my favorite and most trusted varieties of tomatoes and peppers. You are also welcome to browse through the varieties I have in stock and choose from that list as well.
Martino's Roma – Extremely productive 2-3 oz fruits. Very meaty and mild flavored. I had two plants one year that gave me 50 lbs of tomatoes! I still couldn't keep up with the harvest. Makes great soup, salsa and sauce. My favorite middle sized tomato.
White Beauty – The size and shape of a 'normal' tomato, but a creamy shade of white! Mild flavor. These made a very unique and tasty salsa, and a very nice white pasta sauce. Also good conversation starters for the neighbors!
Riesentraube – Translated from the German, it means 'bunches of grapes' and they aren't kidding! I grew one plant so I could have some good cherry tomatoes for salads and such. It produced about a gallon of 'grapes' at a time! We kept a bowlful on the kitchen counter for snacks almost all summer long. Great tomato flavor in a little bitty package.
Druzba – If you are a tomato purist (red, firm, tasty… like a store bought, but with flavor) then this is the tomato for you. Excellent harvest, middle to large fruits. Great slicers for sandwiches or Caprese, with a full, tangy tomato taste.
Red Zebra – Now this is a tomato of a different color! Traditional tomato red with yellowish orange stripes. A beautiful middle sized fruit with great full taste. Excellent producer, and wonderful for BLT's and sauces.
Chervena Chushka – My best producer in 2007. These tapered 4" fruits turn a bright red when ripe, and have a very sweet, pepper taste. I used most of mine for jelly, but also roasted some and used them in salads and sandwiches. Very tasty!
Marconi Red – Also a good producer. 8 – 10" long, slightly tapered. Great for roasting and pizza! Also makes a nice addition to salsas. Full bodied pepper flavor, and sweet.
