Seeds to Sprouts

My first few years gardening, I scoured the big chain stores and local nurseries for tomatoes, peppers and various other vegetable seeds and plants, just to get a feel for what was available. What I found was a little discouraging.  There were Variety of home-grown tomatoesusually a few tomato varieties, a few pepper varieties, and an average selection of seeds.  So I grew the standard red 'Early Girl' tomatoes and 'California Wonder' Peppers.  But I longed for more variety.

I had worked for a summer as a harvester at a Seed Saver Exchange where we were able to sample the different varieties of vegetables.  This experience developed in me a taste for the freshest of vegetables and my initial forays into a garden of my own.  The store bought tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers seemed flavorless and unimpressive in comparison.

So I bought seed from Seed Savers of many different varieties, and started raising seedlings of my own.  I learned how to best tend them and create growing conditions that nurture them along until they are ready to plant.  I began giving extra seedlings to friends and family, and now I get dozens of requests from them each season for different varieties they want to try.

Now I specialize in growing custom-requested seedlings for gardeners who don’t have the time, space, or set up to do it themselves. To my knowledge, there is nobody who will grow the variety you want in the quantity you desire until now - from 1 to 1000 seedlings, you choose 'em and I'll grow 'em! Orders only taken until March 1st, so order early!
