Indestructible Tomato Cages

The Best Tomato Cage You’ll Ever Own

tomato cageI got fed up with the wimpy, thin wired cages that so many 'super' stores sell.  They aren't pricey, but as my wife says, you get what you pay for.  After replacing them (yet again) one summer, I decided to build my own.

I like my tomato plants to vine as much as they'd like to and produce as much fruit as they want, so I needed a cage that was wide enough for the heartiest plants.  This called for an Indestructible Tomato Cage the likes of which the garden world has not seen!

tomato cagesI’ve made many for my garden and for friends and family...  now I offer them to you. They are more expensive than the "traditional" wire cages. But unlike those cheap cages, mine will hold your prized plants up through the entire growing season, even in severe weather, year after year. (Or season after season.)  These extra strong tomato cages are a must for heirloom tomatoes, as heirlooms generally grow bigger than the hybrid types and require a sturdy space to grow.

Estimated time to build: 1 day per cage

Cost: $12. All prices are subject to design and materials.
